While the Adirondack Red Wings are caught up in the battle for first place in the Southern Division of the American Hockey League, there's an even closer race going on within the team.
It's between Murray Eaves and Dale Krentz. The two forwards have been taking turns leading the club in scoring for the past couple of weeks.
They've combined for 50 goals and show no signs of slowing down. Wednesday, the lead changed hands again when Eaves collected three goals and two assists against Maine to increase his point total to 58. Krentz, who scored a goal and assist, has 56.
